About Ali

Ali (they/he) is an NYC based actor, dancer, and singer.

 

Proudly first generation Iranian-American, they were born and raised in the lush and sunny San Francisco Bay Area. He grew up in a tight-knit family of boisterous Persians who instilled in him a deep love of music and food. He fell in love with the magic of live theatre at the tender age of six, and the rest, as they say, is history.

 

Ali attended the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and received a BFA in Musical Theatre with an Emphasis in Dance.

They recently completed a three year run of 585 performances playing the title role in the Broadway National Tour of Fiddler on the Roof, directed by Tony Award winner Bartlett Sher.

Beyond a life on the stage, Ali lives for exploration and discovery, be it a stroll through town, a frolic in the park, or a meditation by the water. Nothing sparks joy like fresh air and sunshine! Other quests of Ali's include the deepening of their yoga practice, cooking their favorite Persian dishes, and staying caught up on their astrology readings (Aquarius Sun, Capricorn Moon, Pisces Rising)!
